I love to inspire transformissional living! It might be through capturing God's splendid creation via my camera, writing a blog, speaking in a public venue or a face to face conversation. Ultimately, my mission is for you to walk away inspired to live a transformed life focused on your God-given mission. Specific to photography, I want each image to be: Awe-Inspiring; Life-Giving; Hope-Filling; Grace-Infusing and God-Pointing. Although photography has been an interest of mine for many years, living in southwest Florida since 1986 has developed my love of nature and provided many opportunities to develop a self-supporting hobby out of photographing naturescapes, birds, flowers and wildlife.

As I've intentionally developed my photography skills, I've been blessed to win multiple awards and to have my images purchased for promoting southwest Florida.  Here's a sample:  2nd Place Overall winner in the 2016 "The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel" contest.  Images purchased for advertisements by the City of Cape Coral and several area Chamber of Commerce organizations to attract businesses and residents to our area;  Honored to serve as Resident Artist for Lee County Visitors and Conventions Bureau during 2016.  Again, those photos are being used to attract tourists to visit beautiful Southwest Florida.  In 2017, my "Boat on Fire" image won First Place in the Cape Coral Art League "Art Thru the Lens" contest.  Shortly after, the same image was one of ten photos selected by a jury of the Lee County Alliance for the Arts to be displayed as a framed 36"x54" print at the Southwest Florida International Airport for one year.  

In addition to this website, I enjoy marketing my local naturescape images through a line of high-quality greeting cards and prints at several Southwest Florida gift shops. And I love to keep learning from others so I'm an active member of the Florida Camera Club Council, the DPI-SIG Naples Digital Photography Club, and NANPA (North American Nature Photographers Association). Started in 2006, Gingerich PhotoArt is a licensed and registered business in the city, county and state where it is located.

I was born and raised in Oregon, so now you know why Pacific Northwest photography is also of high interest.  I'm privileged to be married to Linda Augsburger since 1974.  We love to travel anywhere in the world, any chance we get.  For over two decades, we have been leading tours to the Holy Land, Greece and other European locations.  We have three amazing adult children, a son in-love, a daughter in-love and five incredible grandchildren.

If you still aren't bored out of your mind and want to know more, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Bible and a Master of Divinity graduate degree.  I am the Founding Pastor of Cape Christian, a vibrant growing contemporary church of approximately 3,000 weekly attendees in Cape Coral, Florida.  I've loved being the Lead Chaplain for the Cape Coral Police Department since 1996 and serving on several local non-profit boards.  In 2012, I launched a blog to inspire transformissionall living in others.  In 2017, I added a Successful Successions blog to encourage leaders to be intentional about developing younger leaders to provide continuity of leadership in business and non-profit organizations.

So that's probably much more than you wanted to know.  But, I love life and I love to inspire transformissional living thru the lens!
